July 3rd, 2019, the Jubilee, 20th edition of the SGH Summer School - Summer University Warsaw 2019 began. Participants were welcomed by the Vice-Rector, dr hab. Krzysztof Kozłowski, prof. SGH and PhD Joanna Tabor-Błażewicz, Academic Director of SUW 2019. Presentation on the possibilities of studying in English and the internationalization of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics was delivered by Ms. Monika Komorek from the International Center.
This year, we host a record number of 57 participants from around the world. Among the represented countries are: Australia, China, Georgia, the Netherlands, India, South Korea, Mexico, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Taiwan, Romania, the USA and the United Kingdom.
The curriculum gives the possibility of shaping the individual path and choosing from among 3 morning courses: "Startup Entrepreneurship”, „Finance Management" or "Environment of International Business" and 2 afternoon "Innovation Management in an Enterprise" or "Coaching". For each course, participants can get 4 ECTS points.
After classes, cultural and integration meetings are organized: visits to museums, entry to the Palace of Culture and Science, sighsteeing in Łazienki and Wilanów, as well as a trip to Krakow, the Wieliczka Salt Mine and the Auschwitz Museum.
The Center for Open Education is organizing the program supported by the Erasmus Student Network and the Students' Self-Government. The classes are run by SGH academic teachers. The Summer School lasts until July 17th this year.
