 History of SUW

 

Summer University Warsaw program, organized by SGH (Warsaw School of Economics with over 100 years of traditions) lasts two weeks. It is a combination of studying and fun, getting closer to Polish and European history. All participants attend lectures held by the professors from SGH.

Since 2005 we have invited altogether almost 300 students from 31 various countries (Australia, Austria,  Belarus, Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, Danemark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Italy, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA).

Every time the cultural program included 3-day trip to Cracow, Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz, Warsaw sightseeing, Warsaw by Night, Sport events, VIP’s Lectures. The trip to Cracow might be prolonged by one day to visit Sandomierz.

To mention just a few, the participants had focused on such topics as:

  • Building competitive advantage of a business on the market of Central Europe (2015)
  • Innovative Europe as an opportunity for development of a contemporary company (2014)
  • How to be a competitive firm in Poland and Central Europe - a recipe for success (2013)
  • Central European Economies (2009),
  • Innovativeness and Entrepreneurship – Backbone of modern Economy development (2008),
  • Polish economy - the conditioning of its development in a region and so on.
