 MDDP with Toulouse Business School

 

The agreement on the establishment of the Master Double Diploma Programme between Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and Toulouse Business School (TBS) has been signed on 27th of January 2015. 

Following the agreement, the Double Degree Programme offers 2 fields of study at SGH: 
  • International Business or
  • Management

as well as Management at TBS.

Within the programme students of each university will be studying 1 year at partner university. SGH students, during their studies at TBS, will have a wide range of specialisations within 5 “Professional Options” offered in English and also several available in French. Although the language of this DD is English, SGH students who will prove the proficiency of French on at least B2 level will be able to study at TBS also in French (French tracks). Students who will choose the English track will be able to study either on Toulouse or Barcelona campus.

Toulouse Business School (French: École Supérieure de Commerce de Toulouse) was founded in 1903 by the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The school is triple accredited by European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Association of MBAs (AMBA) and is one of France's prestigious "Grandes Écoles de Management". The School has three campuses: main one in Toulouse, campus in Barcelona and campus in Casablanca which is offering executive studies.

 

 Programme structure

 
​​The intended period of study for the MDDP is two years (4 semesters). Double degree students will spend their first year at their "home institution" and the second year at the "host institution". Full information should be provided to the "host institution" on the courses that participants have taken at their "home institution" and vice versa.

Double degree students will have access to courses and enjoy the same rights and obligations and be subject to the same rules and regulations as the regular graduate students in the corresponding master study track of the “host institution”. They should have access at the “host institution” only for the parts of the study programme that will be carried out under the responsibility of the “host institution”.

Annex XIII - Grading scale

 

 Master thesis

 
In addition to the mandatory coursework at both institutions, the double degree students are required to write a Master Thesis at SGH or Research Project at TBS, according to the following arrangements:

The language of the Master Thesis/ Research Project is English or French according to the student’s preference. In case of writing in French, student needs to prepare also a summary in English.
 

 Requirements for the students

 
The following guidelines apply to all students (SGH and TBS):

(a) The double-degree exchange students will be:
  • full-time TBS Master in Management students, having passed semester 1 and 2 of the Master 1 year credits and
  • full-time SGH master degree students who have successfully completed the first year of the Master in Management or Master in International Business programme (acquiring 60 ECTS).
Any academic credit earned at the host institution must be transferred to the home institution in accordance with the home institution’s procedures.
(b) The double-degree candidates must satisfy all admission requirements of the host institution, including language proficiency requirements and good knowledge at Bachelor level of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Statistics. All double degree candidates must provide evidence of a satisfactory level of language proficiency according to the requirements of the Common European Framework (CEF):
  • students from SGH as their home institution – English B2 (or higher) and French B2 (or higher) in case they choose the French track in Management at TBS,
  • students from TBS as their home institution – English B2 (or higher, for example: CAE (C), TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.0).
(c) Double degree students must abide by all rules and regulations of the host institution.

Selection for 2017/2018 is closed. Dates for the selection 2018/2019 will be published in May/June 2018

 

 Selection and documents

 

​Documents required from the SGH candidates to double diploma include (all documents should be prepared in English):

  • Application form (filled in on computer) – please choose from drop-down lists relevant options concerning: Partner University, majors at each university, language proficiency, and additional certificates [if applicable]

  • Motivation letter addressed to Selection Commission to double degree programme between Toulouse Business School and Warsaw School of Economics (in English, max. 1 page)

  • CV of the Applicant in the Europass format

  • Copy of the BA diploma

  • Official course transcript or diploma supplement with grades received (in English)

  • Document certifying fluency in English

  • First draft of the study programme (preferred field of study/study path, list of academic interests, etc.)

 Attention

 
According to the Rules and Regulations of selection for international programmes and exchanges at SGH, all students accepted for double diploma programmes are not allowed to apply for any other exchange or programme that involves mobility abroad in the given academic year. It especially refers to Erasmus+, PIM and bilateral exchanges and international  programmes like CEMS MIM.
 

 France Alumni Pologne network

 
France Alumni Pologne is a network for all alumnis of French universities. The alumni of Master Double Degree Program between SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Toulouse Business School are also eligible to register there and connect with other alumni of French HEIs.
