 Erasmus+

 

 

Erasmus+ is the EU programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport for 2014-2020, that has started on 1st of January 2014.

Erasmus+ aims at boosting skills and employability, and modernising Education, Training and Youth work. The seven year programme has a budget of €14.7 billion. This represents a 40% increase compared to current spending levels and shows the EU's commitment to investing in these areas.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees ​Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMDs) are international study programmes delivered by a consortium of higher education institutions (HEIs) from different countries and where relevant other partners with specific expertise and interest in the study programme. 
Erasmus+ Master Degree Loans ​Erasmus+ Master Degree Loans are EU-guaranteed loans with favourable pay-back terms that can help to finance a Master course in an Erasmus+ Programme country. The scheme is designed to support postgraduate students and protect them from student hardship with social safeguards.
Currently the scheme is available through universities and banks in Spain, France, UK and Turkey for outgoing students from these countries pursuing postgraduate study abroad and students from other Programme countries going to Spain or UK for a Master course.
​Key Action 2: Innovation and good practices
​Strategic partnerships ​to support innovation in the sector as well as joint initiatives to promote cooperation, peer-learning, and the sharing of experience.
​Knowledge Alliances ​to foster innovation in and through higher education together with businesses, and beyond, contributing to new approaches to teaching and learning, entrepreneurship in education, and the modernisation of higher education systems in Europe.
​Capacity-building ​projects in the field of higher education to support the modernisation, accessibility, and internationalisation of higher education in Partner Countries.
​Key Action 3: Support for policy reform ​Support for policy reform ​aims to increase the participation of young people in democratic life, especially in discussions with policy makers, as well as developing knowledge in the fields of education, training, and youth.
