Since the implementation of the Bologna Declaration in 2006, SGH has been adjusting its course offer to conform to demands of the three-tier study system. At present, the School offers all international students around 150 courses taught in English on both BA and MA levels, including compulsory core courses of different majors as well as a wide range of specialised ones covering a large variety of topics from economics and management to sociology and international relations.
Although some courses are more advanced than others, all are designed to increase the student’s academic knowledge and develop practical skills. While teaching methods and educational devices may vary from one course to another, all promote constructive discussion and help develop student’s analytical skills. Since all courses offered are also open to regular SGH students, they generate positive exchange of ideas and provoke constructive multicultural teamwork.
Each spring, the Warsaw School of Economics prepares a full course catalogue for the forthcoming academic year that caters to students’ needs and the changing demands of the job market. Containing detailed course outlines, the catalogue is published in mid-May and commences the process of student enrolment, lasting almost 4,5 months and ending at the beginning of Fall semester.
OBLIGATORY READING MATERIAL (TRAINING) ON OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
From the Spring Semester 2013/2014 all incoming exchange and freemover students, regardless of the programme, are obliged to download and read training material on OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). It contains basic information necessary to learn the principles of OHS including the procedures of behaviour in case of danger and how to avoid potential harm to your health resulting from your attendance and stay at SGH premises. Your task is then:
To bring the statement with you and hand it in while picking up your SGH student ID. The document is mandatory!
Please do not ignore that materials, even if you think that you have already know everything about it or that it is low probability you will have to apply selected procedures while staying at SGH. Signing and submitting the statement is required in order to issue your transcript of records at the end of your term at SGH!
