 Student's exchange

 
​International Exchange referral may be issued to a student qualified for an Exchange program as result of recruitment process managed by the International Center (CPM) or individually received by a foreign university.  

A student applying for completing part of his or her studies abroad may be directed abroad by the SGH Warsaw School of Economics or may take a year off. The final decision is to be taken by the Dean. The decision will be based especially on the completion of the preceding semester by the Student. 

Issues regarding departing Students are managed by  Ms Diana Krysińska (ph. no. 564 9884, room no. 56), to whom the documentation regarding studying abroad should be delivered. 

Applications for exchange starting on 2019/2020 are handled by  Ms Urszula Szczecińska (ph. no. 564 9881, room no. 47)

 List of documents

 

The exhaustive list of documents delivered to the Dean’s Office prior to departure:

  • two copies of  application – referral to study abroad with an opinion issued by the given program’s coordinator in International Center.
  • two copies of the agreement on the program of courses Learning Agreement (LA) accepted by the given program’s coordinator in International Center.

The exhaustive list of documents delivered to the Dean’s Office during the stay abroad:

The Student may apply for changes into LA – if necessary – not later than a month of the starting date of classes at the receiving university. In order to do this, Student ought to submit an application for acceptance of changes via VDO.

The exhaustive list of documents delivered to the Dean’s Office upon return:

Directly at the Dean’s Office:

  • a form of equivalent proposal containing signatures of course coordinators or faculty supervisors

Via International Center:

  • agreement on the program of courses Learning Agreement (LA) together with a form containing changes to the LA with appropriate signatures of the receiving university representatives and International Center;
  • a list of credits and grades (Transcript of Records) awarded at the receiving university;
  • the exchange settlement formularz_rozliczenia form together with CPM’s opinion, supplemented by the Student with a list of completed courses, number of ECTS credits and grades awarded at the receiving university, together with course equivalents accepted by the Dean.

 
 

  Acknowledging the courses

 

The procedure of acknowledging courses completed outside the SGH Warsaw School of Economics within international exchange as equivalents:
 
The Student may apply for an equivalent of a course completed abroad out of the pool of courses available in the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In such a case, the Student delivers to the course coordinator (in the case of basic courses) or major coordinator (in other cases) the syllabus of the course completed abroad and the equivalent proposal form and receives his written opinion regarding its uniformity with a course completed at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The student delivers the form to the Dean’s Office. Only upon receiving the Dean’s decision, the Student completes the form of exchange settlement and delivers it to the CPM together with the above mentioned documentation.

Rules for acknowledging ECTS credits for courses completed outside the SGH Warsaw School of Economics *

  • equivalents– the Student will be granted the number of ECTS equal to the effects of education at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
  • other courses – the Student will be granted the number of ECTS equal to the effects of education at the partner university.
